versatile literary personality and one of the pioneers of "Urdu
Culture" in Canada. Founder and President of "GHALIB"
Academy (Canada) - one of the most active and internationally recognized
literary Organizations of North America. Served as the President of
WRITERS' FORUM (Canada) for two terms. Arranged, organized and sponsored
the very First tour of Pakistani poets that entailed 17 Mushaeras (Poetry
Recitals) throughout Canada and the U.S.in 1981. Also arranged the first
and the only event -"An Evening with Habib Jalib" - contemporary
Urdu's legendary "Peoples' Poet".. Highly intellectual and
history-making works included 5 Scholarly Seminars and several
"Special Events" of utmost caliber, which were held in Toronto:

topics .hi addition to organizing several International Mushaeras where-in
most prominent poets were invited to recite their 'Poetics" and
delight the ardent lovers of urdu poetry, "Ghalib" Academy has
been holding an Annual "Ba-yaad-e -Ghalib" (in memory of Urdu's
greatest Ghazal poet} Mushaera for the past 18 years - a unique and
historic event in the Urdu World - as nowhere else such an event is held
on annual basis...
As
